central illinois | We have a 17KW automatic generator. It has a double pole double throw switch held on by the power from electric company. When the power goes off the double throw switch drops down to the generator side with a 15 second delay. Generator starts once a week and runs for 15min to charge its battery and exercize the generator. Has worked flawlessly for 3 years, one outage was 60 hrs. Best investment I made I installed it my self wasn't real hard. It runs off 2000 gal LP tank that feed house and shop. Runs everything in house ,boiler waterheater cloths dryer central air. Burns about1.75 gal per hour at full load, less on light load. | |
