Thumb of Michigan | Harley clothes are OK, I don't happen to think better enough than anything else to spend the $. Brooks is another good leather jacket, but for serious touring I'd recommend the textile stuff as well. More info on Gold Wing or Beemer sites about that sort of thing.
We're lucky in my neck of the woods, I have pretty close access to a couple of good non franchised bike shops. One in particular (Bubba's Tri City Cycle) is an excellent dealership, Bubba does a good job at stocking the "good" stuff.
Regardless, here's what I like whether leather or other: zip out linings are almost mandatory. Also, having zippered vents front and back are a must. I like jackets w/o a collar, not sure what that style is called. I don't like stuff like a collar flapping in the wind. | |
