You would need to do some serious research it is a very localized market. Some places have lots of Holstein feedlots so they would be easier to sell. In our area a 500lb steer goes for .95-1.05cwt right now. All that said it will cost plenty to get them to gain some weight, I'd definitely pay an extra $10 for one that has made it to 2 or 3 weeks old.
