What do you seed your pasture with? In my pastures there is a lot of the white alsike clover. Is this good for a pasture? It doesn't get tall at all. I threw out red clover seed that didn't grow at all. I've also thought about going in and fencing some of the pasture off and tearing it up and planting it to corn and beans for a few years and plant a pasture mix after that time basically to kill off the uwanted weeds Canadian thissels and other unwanted grasses. Would this be a good idea? Plant it to crops for awhile and then plant it back into pasture.
I'll also be doing quite a bit of dozing as well of overgrowth of trees getting out into the flat as well any ideas for this.
