if I have no change and pay with a debit card I don't feel bad about not tipping and I have never had a sonic employee make a face or anything and when I do tip they seem very appreciative instead of as if it was expected......I would probably tip nothing at Sonic if it was not for the fact that they run back to the kitchen after they drop off the food.....many often are on skates and even if I don't tip or have not tipped they are always willing and often ask if there any sauces or condiments they can run and get for me....I think they are able to hire a bit better employee because of the possibility (though never seems like an obligation) to get a tip
places with a tip jar get nothing from me ever......hair cutter gets a dollar maybe 2 if they were really talkative or seemed to do a good job and be into it | |
