Subject: RFID tags (pic)

Driftless SW Wisconsin

You folks in Canada know what they look like but I find many in the midwest have never seen an rfid tag or button.

I took a picture of a couple heifers looking at me in a group near a bale feeder. These show the new rfid tag sets I put in on 11/15. The button is in their right ears, the visual tag in the left ear has the same number but is not the electronic unit.  #91's button is hidden by her longer hair in the ear.

The second photo is a closeup of an area from the first picture.

Anyone from Canada or elsewhere that has used these buttons: did I get them in a good spot so they will stay in? From the instructions this looked like where they were supposed to go between the ear ribs but not too far in close to the head?
