Silage and grass hay might be a little low on protien for a cow with a calf. I think your going to need some protien. DDGs would work but can you get wet any cheaper. Last load I got was $20 a ton at 30% moisture. Got a lot of gluten last year with a high of $20 to a low of $0. I load up when its cheap.
