N FLA | Anybody know electric fencing. If i can get a used 12v 5 mile controller on craigslist for $20, Do you know what amp battery it would have to have. I have a 5 amp (12v) gel cell battery, but dont know the technology, maybe it doesnt really draw anything. Ive already got this type of battery and 5 watt solar panel available. It looks like that is all that are in the solar power controller packages.
The Zareba website says "The Zareba solar controllers include a 6-volt gel-cell battery that once fully charged maintains its charge for up to two weeks, even in cloudy conditions." So I'm guessing my idea/equipment will work.
I am thinking of setting up a rotational grazing w/ about 14 paddocks on 7 acres. | |
