SW WI | I have since left the dairy business and went to college, but if I were to go back I would build a database using Microsoft Access. It's not a turn key program so to speak, you would have to build the entry forms and various tables. Once you get it constructed though, it's a powerful tool. You can design queries to answer any question you want like breeding dates, vaccination dates, how long cows have been milking, anything.
I know that doesn't sound as convenient as buying ready-made software but I think being able to customize your software to exactly what you want is valuable. Plus it's cheap. It should already be included in most versions of Microsoft Office. Food for thought... | |
