| I'm a tep trustee in Indiana. We do not mow roadsides, it's the landowners responsibility but there is no law that says he has to. County will come around maybe once a yr with a side-arm mower & mow brush back but doesn't mow roadsides. State will mow hwy roadsides a couple times a yr.
Uncle use to say " Mowing roadsides doesn't make yu a dime but not mowing them is the quickest way to lose a farm." Seems like around here it's a competition to see who can mow their roadsides the most.
Seems like I read on here that some states have laws as o how soon a roadside can be mowed. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought IA recently passed a law that roadsides there couldn't be mowed till after July 15th. | |
