North Cental Mo.
My first question is about your 4 dead in a few days, you need to define few. You can hardly blame the new cattle for the death if of the home raised if it is much less than ten days. Like others I would buy weaned cattle, with double shots, and then I might go ahead and give them another round just to make sure seller didn't forget a round. (just as well worm/pour, and implant also if you have them caught). I also would keep them up for ten days to two weeks before trusting them to be with the other cattle, if possible, we don't live in a perfect world. I have just dumped them with home raised and got along fine, usually depends on pen space and time.
