New Mexico
the word regarding BEFORE the sale means before the sale.

Also, since wires run off Central Time, you can wire in before 2:00 PM, and they'll have then too.

What is better yet ( kind of unique ) is when the sale barn banks at say Wells Fargo for instance and the buying account also banks at the same bank.

Total their buy and have em direct deposit to the barn.

Most of the volume buyers "homework" a sale the day before the sale.
They know what's there, what's coming in...thus the scenario is not as tough as it sounds.

Some of the bigger feedlots have "draw accounts" set up for regular suppliers.
Call their bank...tell em the total needed transferred to your account, and load cattle.

I'm pretty adament on financial Safety and SECURITY re: cattle.
Reason is, it really helps everyone involved.

Basically nothing should touch a loadout chute without first being paid for.

Keep in mind the receiving end has to "bank" the cattle anyway ( either from deposits, maybe a loan ...whatever ).
SOONER is better than later ( it's the 21st century now...run the money end like a modern day business ).

Money goes directly from the recieving end to the seller's bank.

The "old style" thought process of having some "middle" involved in the transfer of money for cattle is truely WAY antiquated.

It's actually EASIER for the large volume folks to do things as afore described.
Granted many of em alredy do things exactly as I've mentioned.

Sometimes perhaps it's best to just USE the newer tools that are out there to make things better.

Granted it tough to change old traditions, and creativity could be disdained by the old style traditionalists still left ( getting to be fewer of those daily now peering at deals like Eastern ).

Livestock is CASH. Treat it exactly as such.
