Big picture thinking here after watching the video(s)

If the dollar collapses, so does the economy, society, etc, etc,

Would I rather own $5000 worth of gold?
or
Would I rather own $5000 worth of corn, or wheat?

Gold = tangible asset with zero purpose other than to look pretty around my wife's neck
wheat/corn = tangible asset with unlimited use for food, feed, or as a bartering tool (don't sidetrack the point with a shelf-life arguement)

I agree with a whole lot of what this guy is talking about, BUT he has a SERIOUS alterior motive in making money off of emotion and investment in gold that I would guess he already owns a significant amount of...

If a dollar is just a piece of paper (fiat currency), than gold is just a piece of metal (worthless as well = fiat currency)

My guess is, if this guy owned Smith & Wesson, he'd be trying to tell the bankers and investors to buy guns instead of gold

Net/net- farmers are positioned well during these times because we produce something that everyone needs and wants. WTH else is manufactured in the US these days??? Just make sure your inputs don't outstrip your output!
