In the 30's we had a deflationary depression and the price of metals doubled. Matter of fact that would be considered a safe heaven compared to stocks and other such items. The metals will never be worth zero like stocks can. Metals will always go up over time, they might have some swings in price up and down but that is the name of the game with those types of investments. If you have the Gov get out of the manipulation of the markets to serve their agenda then you would see a more steady increase in the metals. Another good investment would be ground since they don't make any more of it, but if you have an agenda by the Governments around the world to decrease the population of the Earth (which we do) then you could see the ground decrease in price in the future. But you will always have it and can make money off of it by growing crops on it or whatever their is to do on it to make money.

People will have a flight to protection if and when the SHTF. It is just a matter of time before the final bubble bursts. Bob Chapman seems to think that the bigger they build this bubble the worst the depression will be and that we could have a inflationary deflation depression (that is hard to wrap your mind around). This depression could last decades instead of 5-7 yrs if they had just let the too big to fails to fail and let the markets decide things. But since the Fed has stepped in and has given out almost 30 trillion in the last couple years and will charge us for it then you have the derivatives market that is a whole another ball of wax. Those numbers are in the quadrillion range, with numbers between 1-700 quadrillion dollars depending on who you talk to. I've read many reports that the Dow Jones could very well end up around 1000, one economist said about 500 or so. Think of all those people that will get wiped out.
In order to establish a one world Gov. they have to crash the worlds economies together.
