N FLA | Thanks for the comments. I have just bought into and out of "large cap or S&P 500" index or whatever they call it, and money market or total return bond a few times in the last 10 years. Its been pretty easy to sell higher and buy lower each time. Missed this last opportunity to buy in at a 15% discount, and now back where I left off. Thats the level of management I am comfortable with, and over the last 10 years, have basically missed the steep declines.
I dont think im knowledgeble enough to time the energy stocks, chinese stocks, or any other industry for that matter. Its easy to stick with the basics, and they have low fees, etc. | |
