Subject: RayJ's good advice vs my local marketing guy

Central Illinois
Just read Ray's post about end users and purchasing patterns. Also his advice to local sellers. Not to mention his good common sense advice to us on this board, in particular his advice about basis.

Contrast this with my local co-op merchandiser, who has never seen a day to not sell. He wants to buy on up days, down days, and flat days. All summer he has said sell, sell sell. And now, sell more. I looked back through his e-mails, and I can't find a single post about the market has turned, lets hold off sales a bit, or central IL yields are down, maybe national ylds will be also.

If I had listened to him, I would be sold out of 10 and 11 corn already. I don't want him to tell me to buy corn, just go one day without telling me to sell corn.

Rant over.
