Mascoutah, Illinois | After the corn market screamed higher today, here are the basis results from our elevator.
Thursday: September delivery minus 24 cents
DP corn for 38 cents until January 31, 2011
Today: September delivery minus 43 cents
DP corn for 60 cents until January 31, 2011.
If you sold corn out of the field today with a seventeen cent rally, you lost two cents a bushel from Thursday.
The ankle grabbing Senior Citizen may have been refering to was farmers getting the cob inserted in their YOU KNOW WHAT.
In the middle of the day, corn basis was moved to minus 47 cents and DP to 65 cents. I was wondering why I had so many quotes emailed to me today.
