Subject: some yield reports

* YIELD Union County, IN Farmer just started a field running 18-21% moisture, worst yield monitor reading so far is 235 bu. This field was side dressed with nitrogen and was sprayed with fungicide. Another farmer in Union Co. is averaging 235 bu so far. Also, Bean field near the Shelby/Johnson County line went 61 bu despite extremely dry Aug
* YIELD lafayette IN, 380ac beans 67.5 (best ever) had been in corn prev 5 years.

* Lebanon Indiana. 100 acres beans 64 bpa. Same farmer cut a field of 105 day corn (don't know acres in field) and it did 185 bpa and 14.2% moist. Same farmer thought the corn would have done about 20 to 30 bpa better in that field the way it looked all year.

* Corn near Cedar Rapids, IA 20 miles w of Cedar Rapids 185-190 vs 206 last year 30 miles n of Cedar Rapids 185-190 vs 200 last year.

* East Central Iowa Big surprise is how dry corn has gotten in the past week. Elevators reporting new crop as low as 15% out of the field with much between 17 and 21. Wettest seems to be around 28. Yields near year ago near DeWitt in Clinton Co., test weights are calculating 55 on about 100,000 bushels weighed. Field in wet Benton County harvested Wednesday at 145 bpa versus 202 in same field last year. TW 54. New corn arriving in La Porte City around 17% moisture and 54+ TW…yields undetermined.

* Benton Co. Ind Corn Yield (NW Indiana Top 3 producing counties in IND) 140a went 175bpa, down about 15bpa from last year.

* 5,000 acre farm – in w IA and into ne NE Harvest well along, will be done soon Corn on corn non irrigated 132 vs 210 last year, Irrigated corn 180-200 vs 220-230 last year.

* Woodville, OH, amazingly dry, 15.0% right out of the field, 158 BPA compared to 170 last year.

* Producer cut 50a of a 200a field went around 125bpa vs. 190-195bpa last year. Expects the whole field will average 140bpa when done. Cites nub ears where the field looks the same, yet 200bpa in low ground and 60bpa in higher ground. Very disappointed as crop looked much better than that. Same producer is averaging 60bpa for soybeans vs. 63bpa last year, thinks his later beans will pull his average above a year ago when finished.

* Just west of Bloomington IL, on rough ground, 57 acres corn on stubble, 166 bpa. Better ground within a mile of that is running 200 bpa. Same producer had an 80 acre field of corn on stubble go 175 bpa between Bloomington and Stanford, IL. The field had a lot of washouts in it due to too much rain.

East of Varna, IL, 160 acres corn on corn, 220 bpa.

Logan Cty IL: 200 acres finished 157 vs 200+ a year ago

* YIELD lafayette IN, 380ac beans 67.5 (best ever) had been in corn prev 5 years.

* YIELD Arcanum Ohio c and beans
Arcanum, OH - Beans going 70 bu w/Headline low 60's w/o. Very pleased usually avg around 55.
Corn on first 70 acres went 235 @ 18% about same as last year, "so far" Better than expected, usually around 200 +

* YIELD Coles, Douglas and Edgar counties IL - corn & one bean
Coles Co – 160 acres, corn on stubble, 170 bpa, 15.5% moist, 10 bu below expectations, 30 bu below last year

Coles Co – 80 acres, corn-on-corn, 125 bpa, 15% moist, 50 bu below expectations, 80 bu below last year (low flat black dirt…way too many water holes)

Douglas Co – 70 acres, 156 bpa, corn on stubble, 16% moist, 30 bu below expectations, 40 bu below last year

Douglas Co – 120 acres, 180 bpa, corn on stubble, 15% moist, as expected, 25 bu below last year

Edgar Co – 160 acres, 165 bpa, corn on stubble, 14% moist, 30 bu below expectations, 40 bu below last year
