ECIL | I finished a small field today with an average moisture of 17%. The kernals were small, they reminded me of baby teeth to some extent. The ears were small. Too much rain in June, little rain and too much heat in August and compaction from two wet falls and a wet spring the year before all were contributors. It is tight ground to begin with. As for yield, lets just say it was a punch to the gut. Planted pop. was 32K. No holes in the field. ECIL. | |
