NE Iowa | We went through this with Agriprocessors. It sounds like the lawyers all go to legalzoom.com and print the same letter. Cutting to the chase they are after fraud, Verasun hiding money in bogus transactions, etc... The first letter is the money demand hoping you will send a check. Then when opposing lawyers get involved it becomes - prove your transaction wasn't prefential. From how it was explained to us prefence would be receiving money for goods you did not deliver, excess payments, early payments, etc. Its time consuming but get prepared with settlement statements, trucking receipts, and scale tickets to match up with your checks and you should be fine.
