| Yes, with a caveat. We here are not brain surgeons, however we could see more than two months ago that this corn crop on a national basis had real problems. There have been record breaking droughts and floods in many parts of the world. There has been a long time since these facts were known to hedge this crop for an enduser.
I guess what this gets done to is competence, if the world is "normal" maybe a hedge seems pointless. When things are not "normal", competence recognizes the changing dynamics and makes a decision. We pay managers for their competence and expect the boards of any business to have been selected because of their competence. | |
