West Ky | nobody is getting records around here unless your talking about money lost per acre.
Most everybody is getting around 100 bu an acre less this year than last. I've heard of lots of 40-60 whole field averages. Elevator at the river said if you have over 100 bu an acre then you have one helluva crop this year.
I know what we have shelled has been very erractic. Down in the low places the corn is decent then you go up away from the low spots then its tiny nubs on the stalk maybe two inches long and about 60 kernals of corn on em. That is why the corn here is terrible. When you have no rain and 100+ degree temps for weeks it does that to ya. | |
