Subject: RE: milo and ethanol

WC KS
Currently milo is a already considered an advance biofuel by USDA. Thus it eligible for additional funding. IT is advance biofuel because MILO is Not a food crop and it is NOT that dirty, polluting KING corn. CORN is a four letter word in today's non farm thinking. That is the reality. IF you are farmer you know better.

Milo DGS is not much differ than corn other than color. Most plants that use milo blend it in with corn as it comes in.
IT milo and corn are dumped in the same grain unit tank. There are a lot of cattle in KS that can not tell the difference

Milo conversion vs Corn conversion to ethanol is subject to some discussion. IT is a given milo is no better for conversion.

Milo takes a slightly differing mix to process into ethanol, but mix is not a detriment to corn and it may enhance it.

IF milo is discounted 20 -55 cents to corn, why would ethanol plant not use other than the oil trick. Ethanol looks for cheap starch. Today market is corn or milo ......not cellulose.
