northeastern Ohio | We used a 50-50 mix of clorox and water for about 10 years. Sprayed it on the teats and wiped off with a paper towel. It worked well and our scc was always around 150,000. But it was hard on the teat ends and it was hard on the milker's hands. We switched to an iodine based pre-dip and cloth towels about 10 years ago. Our scc has stayed around 150,000. Teat ends are better and we have less mastitis. | |
