Southeast Colorado | I just got off of the phone with a grain broker I've sold lots of binned grain to over the years. During our discussion on the market he told me that during his 25 years in the business they have never had this much grain bought at this point in the year. They have several country elevators in this area and several surrounding states and he said that the farmer has sold 70% of the harvest already. A lot of it was bought way cheaper than where we are now. I know we farmers tend to run in herds and I am just as guilty. It probably wouldn't hurt to be swimming upstream right now! Easier said then done though! | |
