Location is all of it, the more horse owning morons in your area the higher the price, especially for low weight bales. Couldn't tell you how many times I have seen a good 80lb bale sell for less than a 45lb bale. The market in our area is topping at around $5 currently but we still have a month and a half of hay to put up and supplies are very good this year.
What is the going rate on Small Square hay bales?
