Maine | Hi
I have been thinking about starting a small dairy goat operation, was thinking on the lines of milking say maybe 25 to 30. This is still in the thinking stage, so does anyone have any pointers? I am planning on putting up a building this winter so any design advice also would be appreciated. Best market for milk and cheese, or how can I make some money with goats? I live in Maine, have enough pasture and grazing land, how would you go about it and how do you find markets for your products? Or is this something better to stay away from? If you have any other suggestions like sheep or meat goats or?? I would appreciate your input.
