| One non-medicinal thing I've done when my allergies are super bad is a nasal rinse at night - about 2 hours before I got to bed. I use this one, which you can get at a local drug store: http://www.neilmed.com/usa/adword_sr.php?gclid=CI-rxZ-flKMCFRMeDQod... You use distilled water and a little packet of a mixture that acts kinda like a saline. Another good thing to do is make sure you wash your hair before you go to bed so you don't drag allergens into bed with you :)
My doc says to rotate my allergy meds - go through a bottle of claritin, then go through a bottle of zyrtec then back to claritin. It sorta helps your system get too used to a medicine I guess. For my eyes I'm on the prescription drops Patanol. Works pretty good but pricy so I only use them when it's really bad.
Hope this helps. | |
