All of framing is a bit of speculation we throw seeds in the ground and wait some 6 months to see what we get, but at some time you have to say ok time to move. True production problems happen about once every 20 yrs in our area mostly from not getting the crop in our to much rain. I'm a firm beliver in the fact that I will always get my crop IN sometimes that is not an easy task but so far it has always gotten done.

I have no better way of "knowing what I will produce than anyone else" but I don't make my marketing plan around worry.

If corn would have been $2.00 or $3.00 or beans 6.00-7.00 for the last three years then I would not be sold out but lets face it we went through a once in thrity year pricing cycle I belived it as we were in the middle of it and acted within that thought process.

BTW have you taken a look at the crazy carry in wheat if I were a wheat grower forward sales would be a must.
