Parasuis is a tough one and probably stunts far more than it kills. As far as the barn goes the biggest deal is getting it dry. Most bugs want some moisture, take it away and they tend to go away. There are foaming disinfectants and I'm sure someone will sell you something that cures bad breath in pigs, but if you did a decent job cleaning the barn, got it dry, cleaned your boots and office/changing areas, that's about as much as you can do.

What we've found is that some old timey meds work pretty good on parasuis. We did a little trial using LA200 vs. more better meds. The LA200 was generally as good or better than other meds. If you can do it, sort out your fall off pigs and shoot them all with something (probably 3 shots - morning/night/morning). We've got about the best response doing this. Make sure the usual things are working - feed and water, but reducing some of the competition by sorting helps also.

based on my vast experience since 2002, but I still hope it helps,

Pat
