Subject: Re: sheep fencing

Depends on the breed and even sheep within the flock. I use woven on all the exterior fences. Interior fence is mainly 7 and 8 strand high tensile with no electric. I've tried pretty much all types and configurations of fence, except barbed, both temporary and permanent and that's what works best for me. I've had sheep get caught in the hi-tensile and various poly fences when I've had electric in them and it usually doesn't end well. My Dorsets are pretty good about staying in the hi-tensile but I still have a few chronic escape artists. When those ones give me a second reason, they go.
