Central Iowa | My father in law has kept sheep in with hot high tensile wire for 25 years. After they are trained to the electric fence(with their wool short, of course) just having the wires up keeps them in. As long as they have plenty of green grass and maybe a little water, they stay in very well. We put some on a farm a few miles from home, and have had good luck with 3 wire electric fence.
I think the key is traing with short wool, and plenty of grass. | |
