Electric works fine........until ONE figures out that they only get a shock on the nose.  One goes through, and the wool gets wrapped around the electric wire.

There are certain sayings in sheep.  One of which is, if one goes, they all go.  Some of our first fences were electric.  We now have woven.  The only place we have electric is on the drive thru gate coming into the yard, and that only gets used for ewe lambs.  Older ewes are smart enough to get through it.

Anyway, our experience is, it doesn't work.  I love your interest in sheep, though.
