| Sounds like an issue with the election for the master browser. I have seen that pop up in a mixed workgroup a lot. You need to determine which XP System is most likely to be online all the time and then go to the other systems..........especially the W2K systems and disable the browser service. You may try just disabling the service on the W2K systems first. Or if it is unlikely the XP systems will always be on and part of the work group..........choose one W2K system and disable it on all of theother systems, I would prefer it to be an XP system that held the browser list though. This ussually resolves the issue.
