Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I am doing exactly what you are attempting. We also have several customers who are doing this.
1) You will need the Multi-product unlock - Apparently you have this.
2) You will need the Serial Application Rate module - You probably have this.
3) You need proper cabling going from the three pole weatherpaks to the flowmeter and also the implement switch.
4) Some Flowmeters will need a pull-up resistor. Raven flowmeters do not.
5) Both the Insight and App Rate module need current firmware: V3.1 for the Insight and V1.9 for the App Rate Module.
6) If all of the above criteria are met. You need to set up a multi-product configuration that involves all the equipment.
7) In the Application Section define your flowmeter. Use the number of pulses for 1 gallon. Note: the number on a Raven flowmeter is for 10 gallons. Be sure that the App Rate module is plugged in and communicating with the system by observing the flashing green LED.
8) In the Planting section configure the planting tractor and the planter.
9) Now you are ready to build the configuration for the entire setup. In the planting section, add a new configuration. Choose a vehicle (tractor), implement (planter) and then choose site verification (area logging) NOT rate control. If you set the planter up in two sections you will get a choice about split-planter or single variety. Once this is done you are ready to add the part about the fertilizer. So choose add when the large box appears in the center of the screen. Again pick an implement (planter again) and then on the next question choose Rate/control logging NOT site verification (area logging only). You will then see a question about the device used. Pick the fertilizer flowmeter that you setup before. You will be asked questions about your implement switch. Choose Reversed if the switch completes the circuit when the planter is planting, otherwise choose Standard. This question comes up twice answer the same both times. Finally you are asked about speed, I usually just accept GPS. The last step is to name the configuration.
10) Now go to the Run Screen and push Field. Change the grower and field as necessary. Then choose the configuration created above. You should get a screen where you pick your products. The top box will be for varieties and the other box for the fertilizer. These product lists are created under the planting and application sections of the setup section.
11) You should then see a full screen. The indicator on the lower right should switch from Red to Green as the planter is lowered.
12 ) To see the fertilizer rate, push one of the four default items (distance for example). You will then see a screen with display items for the seed. Push the top box and the display will change to items that pertain to the fertilizer.
13) The container level is a handy feature that will count down the fertilizer in your tanks and warn you at the 10% level.
