I have to control Russian Thistle (tumble weeds) or I pay a dear price with the baler.  After the millet is established weeds are not able to compete.  Pearl Millet is very slow to take off and the weeds beat it out of the gate easily if not controlled.  I also rotary hoe once or twice after the crop emerges to help even the score.  Markwright is "wright!", the second cutting is not a problem with weeds.
