Subject: Ration for back yard chickens?

Lancaster County, Pa.

I have  a few (18) laying hens and I think if I figure the cost of buying feed in 100 lb bags my eggs are costing me $2.50/dozen.  I have a feed grinder, corn, barley, ddgs and beans on hand.  Could I make a feed mix from those ingredients that would keep the hens laying?  Anyone want to offer a recipe? I assume I would need a calcium source of some kind?  What about minerals?
