I agree with all that you are saying. I also felt that it was not necessary to "split the flow", until I bought a digital voltmeter.
We had a Gallagher demo at my farm a few years ago. The rep built a 6 strand fence around my dry cow lot. The lot was about 200' by 200' (about 5000' of wire). He connected the 6 wires so that they went in one continuous line and then dead ended. Then he turned the energizer and took a voltage reading. 6000 volts. He then connected the wires together at every corner so that the electricity would have multiple pathways. The voltage went to 8000 volts. The little bit of extra wire at the corners added 25% more voltage........
If you have a digital voltmeter, give it a try. The cost is small and the results can be significant. | |
