If we start getting worse than 4-5% there is a problem, in the last decade 2-3% was the rule of thumb, this year will be over 4%. When we calve other people we guarantee 92% as long as they were preg checked and properly vaccinated before calving. All percentages are from birth to branding usually 45 days at the most. After that we lose a few (2-3) to none through weaning, usually if they do die at that time it is lightning or some other so called act of god.

Lost another one today to purple gut, saved 2 or 3 of them and have lost 2 or 3 to it so far.
