East Kansas, DeSoto
I have seen moves caused by employees on strike for too much money. Local plant was manufacturing 25 truck tractors a month down the street from our plant and went on strike for $27 dollars per hour when our wages was $7 dollars an hour. The company just moved to another state in the US and some of these worker came to my plant willing to work for my wages of that date and time. That was some time ago but this happens and some times causes them to look out of country to be competitive. We could buy our product out of country for less than we could make it for and eventually overtime our plant closed but we still made the product in US but in a different state where we had a good competitive work force.
