I was getting so many calls from everyone trying to sell me everything I got tired of it. Turned off my recorder, it only continued so I turned off my ringer.

With auto dialers,, you don't have to answer, even if the recorder comes on,, the auto dialer keeps the number as a "good number" and continues to harrass that number till a person answers the phone.   Chaps my backside something fierce..

BTW.... I've had an unlisted home number for over 20 years,, and am very hesitant about giving out my home number for any reason !

For last few years I only give out my cell number to people who I know might need to get ahold of me. I don't give my cell ph number out to hardly anyone.. And,, I get text messages on it. I don't "do text" period, so.. I delete text messages without even reading them.
