West Tennessee | We've seen it quite a few times at our house. Mostly automated calls. Usually get a message on the answering service. We just totally ignore them unless they call and actually catch someone at home (rare). If we actually talk to someone (if a machine we hang up) we tell them we have no idea who the person they want is. They usually act like you're lying which is a little irritating. I ask them to google my name or whatever and see that this is MY number and once again I have no idea who this person is. I suspect that most all of these are companies who have purchased a debt or something and it's either a foulup somewhere or someone gave a fake number on a credit app. On a side note, I had a problem with a tenant who moved in this month (January 2010) and both numbers they gave me were not working. Seems they're smart enough to never give an actual contact number. I find this happens a LOT. Big surprise. | |
