Sunday-Sunday-SUNDAY at Beautiful (you need a little imagination here) US 30 Dragstrip!

Dyno Don Nicholson, Arnie the Farmer Beswick, Dandy Dick Landy, Stone-Woods & Cook, and a host of other real racers that were real people.

It was actually in Gary, IN.

Photo below is my friend, our electrician & neighbor's car, a '37 Stovebolt coupe. His is the car in the foreground. Back then he was running a Chevy straight 6, 278 cid, 4 deuces, Isky cam & his own custom headers. Photo was taken in 1962. I believe US30 closed in the late '70s. Gary still has the car & races it, but the 6 cyl is long-gone. See 2nd photo for an update.
