I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone who gets scammed by these groups.  The debtor was trying to find a way to avoid paying what he owed-essentially trying to scam someone else out of the money he or she owed.  Can't believe that people actually think the credit card company will settle for 10 cents on the dollar or something like that.

My attitude:  You buy it, you pay for it.
