Subject: RE: DirectBuy = Problems ~

Kittitas Co. Wa. State

As others said,, it's $5,000 to join. If you're willing to forgo some (instant gratification) make a list and shop around people can save that much and still have what you want.

Neighbor's/friends had a list of what they needed/wanted in their new house. They started shoping for tile/flooring/cabinets/ and rat holed (stored) up for over 2 years. They saved at but load of money on floor tile, kitchen cabinets, toilets, tubs, showers, 2 water heaters, trex decking,facets,etc.etc.etc. Any store had a sale on anything, they were there looking for everything on their list. They'd find say a close out on doors,, they wrangle a deal and get 6-7 doors. Some store have a special on electrical boxes??  they'd by 60 or so for almost nothing.

When they started building their house they had over 3/4 of the materials needed for the house, including windows doors etc. They built their house for $86,000. Uh,, it's 2 floors, 1800 sf. per floor, 3 bathrooms, 5 bathrooms, mud room, etc. pretty huge place.

Only bad part was the husband got sick about 2 years after they got it built and he died. They were smart thou, house was paid for totally free and clear of any debt the day they moved in.
