NE Kansas | It is really hard when the cat (owner) has been with you for 18 years. Almost like a kid. When you were sad, the cat would curl up in your lap. You almost think that he knows that you are hurting. I have killed and skinned deer and goats. I have shot stray cats, rattlesnakes, coons, skunks, rabbits, etc. I have eaten steaks from a my best club steer. The vet thought that I was trying to get rid of the cat. I was asking questions so that I could make a decision. When he realized that I was not trying to get rid of the cat, but trying to decide if there was any cure for the throat cancer, cat viruses, and other ailments. You could just see that the vet's face turn to sympathy. Talk about the hardest decision that I have ever made. I wish I could of talked to the cat, but he trusted me. | |
