if you really want to see one of the most beautiful parts of Washington state a trip up through the San Juan Islands is a must. Take the Mukilteo ferry to Whidbey Island. Drive north across Whidbey and drive across Deception Pass. Turn left and go into Anacortes and take a ferry to Friday Harbor for the day. Whidbey has alot of land being farmed. The ferry ride up through the islands is beautiful. You can also ride all the way to Vancouver BC. The Olympic peninsula is also beautiful. You can visit Forks Washington where the Twilight books and movie are based. Then a ferry ride to Victoria from Port Angeles. Spend the day seeing the Empress hotel and the museum then drive north about 20 minutes to the Butchart Gardens. Well worth the trip.
