Subject: Do you know how to dress for the cold?

central - east central Minnesota -

Kids . . . . seen one coming out'ta school that had those long oversizes shorts on (it was -5ºF out) and a hoody sweat shirt get into his cold car .. .  I just shook my head. Didn't his Mama teach him how to dress for winter? What if he goes in the ditch? Does he have real clothes in his car he changes into when he gets a block or so from school?  Got me thinking though . . .. . how do others dress for winter?
I always starat with a mock turtle neck or turtle neck shirt, reguardless of the temp (when it hits 50ºF, I get neck protection to keep the drafts out and heat held in) then of course long john's and then jeans and some sort of over shirt and double socks. Then I start with the neccessary layers for the job I'll be doing outside . . .

How 'bout those of your around the country - hows your dress this time a year? Do you carry extra clothes in a vehicle, just in case?
