Several decades ago the thought was that it was the Mother's fault. A right handed women would more often then not carry the baby with her left arm. With the baby's right arm tucked behind the mother's shoulder the baby's left arm was free and used to grab at things and put stuff in the mouth. Sounded good at the time.
Right or left handed????????????????
