I have never had any luck with it. But the only time I did it i used an ice pick it all i could find......BAD IDEA. it was to big it felt like the blood was boiling under my nail. The worst was it didnt work the first time, so i heated it again really red this time then i lost the ice pick when i thew it across the barn. That made it hurt worse then what i started with
